My sculptural ceramic works are often based on creatures from the mythological world – dragons, lizards, elves and the like.
I prefer round or twisted, organic forms which seem to have”grown” out of the clay body by themselves… All that I meet in life inspires me – especially the nature that surrounds me (trees, roots, sea shells, cones etc.).
For the past 10 years I have been producing wall and floor tiles which are in each case shaped and produced exclusively for the people who use the rooms in question (kitchen, bathroom, hall or any other rooms).
Ceramic for outdoor use interests me. I have been producing e.g. round tiles for gardens, garden benches (concrete and ceramics), outdoor ceramics for birds and the like – all of which reflect the fact that clay bodies interact easily and naturally with any outdoor environment.
